- Catherine E. Ehrhardt, 52, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Indianapolis, Cathy was a loving daughter, sister, wife and most of all mother. She was also a dedicated teacher throughout her life; first at Harrison Hill Elementary School, then at Robyn's Nest Childcare. A member of Aboite Lutheran Church, Cathy was kind, spiritual, remarkably generous and inquisitive. She loved birds, flowers, playing games with her family, traveling, shopping, and reading. Surviving are son, Matthew Ehrhardt; mother-in-law, Angela (Fritz deceased) Ehrhardt; sisters-in-law, Lori (Kirk) Moriarty and Heidi (John Miller) Ehrhardt; niece, Megan Moriarty, and her dogs Abby April and Molly May. Cathy was preceded in death by her husband of 12 years, Robert Ehrhardt in 1999; parents, Callison and Shirley Simon; and brother, James Simon. Service is 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Pastor Richard Pagan officiating. Calling also from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
